Then apply your chosen cleaning solution. Unless the fabric is silk which can watermark flood the stained area with plain cool water. Allow the vinegar solution to sit for at least an hour possibly more. Rinse the affected area with cold water.

If possible flush the stain from the wrong side by holding the stain under a faucet of cold running water. Start by blotting up as much of the tea as possible with a clean dry cloth. Dilute the stain with the vinegar and sprinkle the area with salt. This will just move the liquid around and increase the surface area of the stain.

Keep blotting the area until you see there it not much moisture coming out of the carpet. Use your cloth and begin to blot the area to bring up the stain. One tablespoon of of dish soap white vinegar warm water a microfibre cloth and a sponge. Salt acts as a sponge for the color of the tea and can help it come up more easily.
